CityCamp Gainesville Hack Day is Sunday, September 20th from 10AM to 6PM at the Reitz Union!
Build civic tech for Gainesville in one day. This is an official MLH Hack Day hosted by Florida Community Innovation, in partnership with NASA!
Event Information:
- Prizes: $300 to each of three track winners, plus MLH swag
- FREE food all day
- Date/Time: Sunday, September 20th, 10AM to 6PM
- Location: Reitz Union, Room G325
Three tracks:
- NASA & Environmental Data: work with NASA GLOBE Observer and environmental datasets
- Gainesville Community Fridge: solar power and hardware for a community fridge that serves Gainesville residents.
- General Civic Tech: problem briefs from local government and nonprofit partners covering housing, food access, and community resource mapping
All majors and experience levels are welcome, and you don't need a team! If this is your first hackathon, it's an easy one to start with.
